What we know about you, where it comes from and how long we keep it. No wall of paragraphs.

I.Who is responsible for your data

  1. 1.

    The data controller is “u Bernadków”, Jurgów 105A, 34-532 Jurgów, Poland, VAT ID (NIP) 7361604183.

  2. 2.

    For anything concerning your data, write to [email protected] or call +48 503 649 811. The person who answers is the one who runs the property — there is no support department here.

  3. 3.

    We have no data protection officer and are not required to have one: a property of this size is not among the entities covered by that obligation.

II.Where your data comes from

  1. 1.

    The contact form on this site collects four things only:

    1. a.your first name — so we know how to address you,
    2. b.your email address — so that we can write back,
    3. c.your phone number — an optional field, for those who prefer talking to writing,
    4. d.your question.
  2. 2.

    When you book — whatever you enter in the booking form embedded on this site. It is operated by an external booking-system provider, which we describe below.

  3. 3.

    When you book through Booking.com, Airbnb or noclegi.pl — the data that service passes on to us. That service is a separate controller in its own right and has its own privacy policy.

  4. 4.

    From a phone call or an email exchange — exactly as much as you tell us yourself.

  5. 5.

    We buy no data, we pull it from no databases, and we ask for nothing we do not need in order to prepare your stay.

III.What we need it for

  1. 1.

    To answer your question from the form, an email or a phone call — that is our legitimate interest, namely ordinary correspondence with guests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

  2. 2.

    To conclude and perform the accommodation contract: to take the booking, check you in and settle the bill (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

  3. 3.

    To issue and keep accounting records — tax law requires this of us (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

  4. 4.

    We run no newsletter, we build no guest profiles and we make no decisions about you automatically.

IV.How long we keep it

  1. 1.

    Correspondence — for as long as the matter lasts, and then for another year. Questions about free dates tend to come back before the next season and we would rather remember what we discussed.

  2. 2.

    Booking and stay data — until the end of the contract, then until any claims become time-barred.

  3. 3.

    Accounting records — five years from the end of the tax year in which the tax obligation arose. We will not shorten that even if expressly asked, because we are not allowed to.

V.Who else sees it

  1. 1.

    The booking-system provider — it runs the booking form and the availability calendar.

  2. 2.

    The email provider — a message from the form reaches us as an ordinary email.

  3. 3.

    The company whose server this site runs on.

  4. 4.

    Our accountants and public authorities — to the extent the law requires.

  5. 5.

    Nobody else. We do not sell data and we do not share it for advertising — not now and not after your stay ends.

VI.Cookies: we have none

  1. 1.

    This site stores no cookies at all on your device. It does not use your browser's local storage either.

  2. 2.

    That is why you will see no cookie consent box here. There is nothing to consent to.

  3. 3.

    Your chosen language is carried by the address itself rather than by your browser: the Polish version is ubernadkow.pl, the English one is ubernadkow.pl/en.

  4. 4.

    We deliberately use neither Google Analytics nor any advertising tool that follows visitors from site to site.

  5. 5.

    We do count where guests give up on a booking: the event itself, the page language and the amount. No IP address, no browser information, no identifier of any kind — those records cannot be traced back to a person or to a single visit.

  6. 6.

    One exception we should state plainly: the booking form embedded on this site comes from an external service and may store cookies of its own, needed to complete a booking. That happens on its terms and outside our control.

VII.What you can do about it

  1. 1.

    At any moment you have the right to:

    1. a.ask for a copy of your data and find out what we do with it,
    2. b.correct what is wrong and complete what is missing,
    3. c.demand erasure of your data or restriction of its processing,
    4. d.object to processing we base on our legitimate interest,
    5. e.take your data to another controller.
  2. 2.

    One email to [email protected] is enough. We reply without delay, within a month at the latest.

  3. 3.

    If you believe we are handling your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland.

VIII.Finally

  1. 1.

    Providing your data is voluntary — but without an email address we cannot reply to your message, and without booking details we cannot prepare your stay.

  2. 2.

    When we change how we handle data, we will change this document and the date at the top of it. We make no quiet edits.
